What people ask before we start.
- What does berdevam do?
- berdevam installs energy systems for homes, businesses and boats: solar power, storage and energy management. We handle the whole chain, from analysis and design to installation, monitoring and maintenance, as a single point of responsibility.
- Do I have to go fully off-grid?
- No. Energy independence doesn't always mean leaving the grid. There are three goals: self-consumption (staying on the grid and cutting your bills), backup for selected loads (keeping key appliances running from a battery during outages) and a fully off-grid system. We work out which suits you during the analysis.
- Will my whole house keep running in a power cut?
- That depends on the system's goal. With backup for selected loads, we choose together which appliances stay on, and we spell it out in the quote. We never promise that everything will run in every situation.
- What happens after installation?
- That's not where we stop. We monitor generation and consumption remotely and send you a monthly summary, and panel cleaning and annual checks are on a maintenance schedule. That's where our name comes from: the install ends, the service carries on.
- Can it be planned into a new home or hotel from the start?
- Yes. In buildings designed with bermekan, the energy system is planned from day one, so the roof, plant room and cable routes are drawn with it in mind.
- Where can I see prices?
- Every system is sized to the site and its consumption, so prices aren't published on this site. After the initial analysis we send you the scope and quote in writing.
